Port of San Diego Big Bay Balloon Parade December 29, 2005

The Port of San Diego Big Bay Balloon Parade features more than 30 balloons that will soar above the one-mile parade route, starting at North Harbor Drive in front of the County Adminstration building. Dubbed "America's Largest Balloon Parade," this event also features racing weiner dogs, floats, marching bands and drill teams. Grandstand tickets are $15 and can be purchased in advance.

A family festival follows the parade. From 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Broadway Pier, kids can ride rides, play carnival games and hear a final showdown between two marching bands from the parade.

And before the parade, a 5K run/walk will begin at 9:50 a.m. Runners and walkers will take off along the parade route, concluding the trek at Tuna Harbor Park. Submitted by Eventful on behalf of dano
