Port Of Egypt Marine Opens Its Doors To The Public On October 16/17 For Fishing, Boating & Cooking Demonstrations At Its Idyllic North Fork Waterfront Location October 16, 2010

Port of Egypt Marine, the North Fork’s award-winning and full-service marina celebrating 50 years as the nation’s first Grady-White fishing and cruising boat dealership, opens its doors to the public on Saturday, October 16 and Sunday, October 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fishing, boating and cooking demonstrations with local experts are part of the marina’s annual boat show where visitors may opt for a free demo boat ride. At 4:00 p.m. each day, a raffle will be held to win a First Mate Suite stay on the eight-acre waterfront property’s Heron Suites Bay Hotel & Marina (www.heronsuites.com).

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 16
*10:00 a.m. – Noon: "Open Fishing Forum" with local Captain Bob Rocchetta (www.rainbowcharters.net) on the dos and don'ts of maintaining fishing gear with Q&A about fishing on the North Fork.
*11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.: "Paying Too Much for Boat Insurance? " with Doug Cabral from JSM Brokerage (www.jsmbrokerage.com) Stop in to get a current and competitive proposal on boat owners’ watercraft insurance.
*1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.: "Boat Handling Made Easy" with Port of Egypt Marine CEO Bill Lieblein who shows how easy docking a boat can be. Two in-water 30-minute sessions are available by appointment by calling 631.765.2445.

*2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.: “The Boat Ownership Alternative,” an opportunity to learn about the Port of Egypt Marina Boat Club coming May 2011.
