casebolt and smith, LA's newest contemporary dance company presents an evening of dance that ruptures the boundaries of friendship, collaboration and personal space while confronting issues of difference and familiarity. Featuring recent works and premieres by Artistic Directors Liz Casebolt and Joel Smith, including "In the Space Provided," a humorous and physical duet that looks at the ways in which we weigh and measure a potential friend when we are deciding if we want them in our lives; "No, No...She's Straight," a complex and quirky dance performed to original music by LA composer Alexander Tovar; and "Pas de Deuxn't," a hilarious interrogation of the classical pas de deux. casebolt and smith are committed to creating clever, socially charged, and humorous dances that challenge traditional representations of marginalized bodies.
