Critical to 90% of the world's flowering plants, pollinators are responsible for much of the world's food crops, fibers and medicine. Unfortunately, there has been a decline in the numbers of certain kinds of pollinators and the native plants on which they depend. Sponsored by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, this exhibit will address the amazing plant and pollinator relationship, common Texas pollinators and the ecological services they provide, and what can be done to protect them.
And don’t miss our new primary exhibit, the Rosine Smith Sammons Butterfly House and Insectarium, where you’ll learn about butterflies, bugs, and botany!
