Emerging Tools and Frameworks for Effective Policy Analysis, Development, Implementation and Evaluation in a Changing Environment
20 and 21 November 2012 – Amora Hotel, Wellington
Policy managers, developers and analysts face unique obstacles that require a well rounded mix of hard and soft skills in order to be successful. They must have a thorough understanding of their stakeholders’ unique and changing needs, whilst at the same time working effectively under pressure to deliver results within tightening time and resource constraints.
The approach to policy development is changing and evolving at all levels of government as the service delivery model and agency / public expectations change. This conference will provide a unique platform for learning, networking and debate in which participants will be able to openly exchange ideas and knowledge.
Presenters will draw on their own experiences to provide participants with practical advice on how they can become more effective in the various aspects of their role from policy development to implementation, analysis, evaluation and review – all facets of the policy making process will be explored.
