In the summer of 2007 a few kids from NYC packed up an old Camry with props and drove cross country to LA to start a show called Point Break LIVE! The show opened October 12, and they thought it might run for a few months. However, fate had other plans...

After two years of playing to sold-out audiences, the smash-hit DIY production has become the longest running show currently playing in Los Angeles. To celebrate, the show will have two very special performances at The Dragonfly Friday and Saturday, October 9th and 10th, featuring some very special guests!

Point Break LIVE! is the absurdist stage adaptation of the 1992 Keanu Reeves/Patrick Swayze extreme-sports blockbuster. This action play offers a true cathartic experience, putting you in the water with the surfers, throwing you out the door of an airplane and robbing you at gunpoint!

Point Break LIVE! tells the story of former college football star Johnny Utah -- Keanu Reeves in the film -- in hot pursuit of the surfing, bank-robbing, skydiving, bare-hand-fighting, adrenaline-junkie-cum-Zen-master Bodhi Sattva, and features big-wave surfing, car chases, explosions and TWO extended skydiving sequences.

Best of all, each night the starring role of Keanu will be played by a lucky individual selected from the audience. The play will be filmed via the "Keanu Kam," and at the end of the night, the "volunteer Keanu" will receive a VHS tape of his/her performance!
