Celebrate National Poetry Month with your child and come to "Kids Poetry Club" on Sunday, April 3 at 1 pm at the Rabbit Hole Bookstore, 805 Main St., Fitchburg. "We will read poems about spring and then children will write their own poem and create a poetry craft," says co-organizer Sally Cragin. "Young poets are also encouraged to bring their own work to read."

Kids' Poetry Club meets once a month in a variety of locales. "Our mission is to bring good writing to a young audience," she adds. "We love to hear the work that children write and provide an encouraging environment for creativity." Kids Poetry Club is organized by writer/artist Sally Cragin and writer/yoga teacher Sarah Klapprodt. Both are mothers with young children. Admission is free.
