Poe’s Bicentennial isn’t over yet. Finish out the year by celebrating Poe’s 201st birthday with a day of events and activities for the entire family. Highlights of the day include the Poe Showdown (Two Poe impersonators compete to see who is the real Poe.), Zombie dancers, the opening of the new exhibit Poe Goes to the Movies, a candlelit walking tour, and the announcement on the Poe Family’s decision on the Great Poe Debate.

The tentative schedule is as follows:

11:45 PM (Jan.15th) – Doors Open

MIDNIGHT (Jan.16th) - Champagne Toast / curator tours

12:30 AM - Eerie Nights Ghost Tour

1:00 AM - GHOST HUNT
you can join a hunt for the ghostly children reputed to haunt the Poe Museum's garden.

2:00 AM - Séance

3:00 AM – GHOST Hunt

4 AM to 10 AM – Self guided POE PJ's tours (COME IN YOUR PJ's)

12:00 PM - Carriage Rides

2:30 PM - The "Great Poe Debate" Officially Settled by the Poe Family
Dr. Harry Lee Poe, President of the Poe Foundation, will make his ruling on the debate that has been waged all year between Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Boston over which city can claim Poe as their own.

3:00 PM - Poe Showdown
Two Poes enter. Only one survives. Witness this head-the-head competition between two Poe actors to see who is the real Poe.

4:30 PM - Zombie Cheerleaders

6:00 PM - EERIE Nights Ghost TOUR

7:30 PM - St. Johns for Candlelit tour
Walk in the footsteps of Poe to see the places that he knew bests. The tour begins at his mother's grave and St. John's Church.

All Day – Poe Goes the Movies
This new exhibit features highlights from the Poe Museum's amazing collection of movie posters and memorabilia from the many screen adaptations of Poe's works.
