Design Revolution II: Tokyo Flow
An academic symposium at Pacific Northwest College of Art on Friday, April 28 featuring Paola Antonelli, Curator of Architecture and Design at The Museum of Modern Art, New York, and exploring the extraordinary contemporary culture of Tokyo and its flow across the Pacific. The symposium consists of three panel discussions, one discussing contemporary Japanese design; the second inviting Portland design firms to discuss their perspectives on Japanese design and designing for the Japanese market; and the third on the subject of Japanese popular culture, specifically manga and anime, and its influence in America.
