Playwriting: Your Own Stories, Live! April 5, 2011

Do you have a family story you love to tell? In this eight-session course, you will explore the techniques of playwriting through fun, non-competitive writing exercises focusing on your personal story. Each class also includes time to share your work in progress and gather responses and encouragement from the instructor. Week by week you will write in a supportive, guided environment - and at the end, you'll have a one-act play that tells your family story in an exciting new way. No previous playwriting experience required. Suitable for ages 14 and up. If you can, please bring a picture of someone in your family story to the first class meeting.
