The new state of the economy has many industries in flux and scrambling to make sure they survive over the long term. With reports of layoffs, studio closings and title postponements, the game and interactive entertainment industries are demonstrating that they are not immune.

The New England Games and Interactive Entertainment SIG of the MIT Enterprise Forum (NE Games SIG) hosts “Playing in the Market,” a panel discussion addressing the volatile economy and its current and potential effects on the game and interactive entertainment industries, locally and throughout the world.

Providing a variety of perspectives on this topic, panelists will include Kai Bond of SwitchGames.com, James Jones of Hasbro, Hank Howie of Blue Fang Games, and Woody Benson of Prism Ventures.

If you are just starting out with two employees and a vision or if you are an established market player looking to ensure the long term, this session will give you insights and advice on what to expect from the next few years and how best to manage.
