PLATOON OF THE DEAD world premiere May 29, 2009

Local filmmaker John Bowker will attend the world premiere of his film, PLATOON OF THE DEAD, with cast and crew Friday, May 29 at Northern Lights Theatre Pub. Produced by Joe Sherlock, who also made BLOODSUCKING REDNECK VAMPIRES, the film was shot near Corvallis, Oregon over the past 2 years. The world premiere will feature a question and answer session with the director.

The story follows a Marine platoon which is ambushed during a mission, leaving only three soldiers alive to fend off the growing army of the living dead. En route to their pickup point, they come across an abandoned house with three mysterious women hiding out inside. If they can make it through the night, they’re home free...or so they think, because someone is hiding a dark secret that may alter the course of this gore-drenched war.

The event begins at 9:00 p.m. Tickets are $3 at the door.
