'Plastiki' - Mission Control Talk Series October 27, 2009

The team behind the Plastiki expedition will discuss what it has taken to build a 60ft catamaran almost entirely from reclaimed plastic water bottles and self-reinforced PET, a uniquely recyclable and relatively unexplored material. They will highlight the research, development and discoveries made along the way.

Tuesday, October 27, 2009 when the Plastiki’s Captain, Jo Royle will discuss her role on the expedition, life at sea and finally how she is preparing for sailing the planet’s largest ocean in a vessel made almost entirely out of post consumer plastic bottles.
