Plastic bag recycling November 15, 2011

The students will bring in plastic shopping bags from stores to be recycled at a local food store thereby lessening the chance that they will wind up in a landfill. Students can also recycle other plastics; over wraps from water and juices, food bags, newspaper sleeves, dry cleaning bags. Once a week the PTO and the 3rd grade students will collect the bags and weigh them for a running tally. Our goal is to recycle 40,000 bags by Earth Day 2012.
