Plants and Their Pollinators at Foster Beach Gardens & the Magic Hedge: Andersonville Green Week July 14, 2010

Chicago Park District floriculturist Neil Gilbert will take us on a tour of his bee-and-butterfly-attracting garden, teach us about which flowers they love best, why everyone should like bees -- then we’ll take a “surrey ride” on Bike Chicago’s quadcycles (courtesy of Painted Light), and pedal over to Montrose Harbor to tour the famous “Magic Hedge.” All ages welcome—shoes & socks recommended.
