PIZZA PERSONA RAISES FUNDS FOR CYSTIC FiBROSIS WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 10

10% of all proceeds on October 10th will be donated to Wish for Wendy, an event benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

Chicago, IL- On Wednesday, October 10, Pizza Persona, 614 W. Diversey Parkway, will donate 10% of all proceeds to Wish for Wendy, a co-ed softball tournament that raises funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Wish for Wendy was created by Andy Lipman, as a remembrance for his sister, Wendy Carol Lipman, who passed away from complications of cystic fibrosis. The Wish for Wendy softball challenge is dedicated to her memory, as well as to raise funds for research so people with cystic fibrosis no longer have to struggle with the disease.

Featuring a choose-your-own-ingredients ordering line, Pizza Persona customers pick their one-of-a-kind dough, sauce, cheese, and topping combinations, and watch their food get prepared in just five minutes. Pizza Persona strives to satisfy all, offering vegetarian, carnivorous, gluten-free, and even dessert options, ranging from just $5 to $9 each.
The menu also highlights eight pre-conceived pies ranging from $6-$9 each, including the “Hottie” (hot sauce, mozzarella, jalapeños, red onions, grilled chicken), the “Meathead” (traditional sauce, mozzarella, sausage, pepperoni, bacon), the “Clubber” (ranch, mozzarella, cheddar, lettuce, tomatoes, grilled chicken, bacon), the “Hipster” (pesto, low fat mozzarella, spinach, mushrooms, banana peppers, garlic), or the “Purist” (traditional sauce, fresh mozzarella, basil). Also available are six-inch dessert pies for $5 each, including the “Big Apple” (apples, brown sugar, butter), the “Camper” (graham cracker, chocolate sauce, marshmallows) and the “Sweetie” (chocolate sauce, M&M’s, sprinkles).

Pizza Persona was founded in 2011 by Chicago residents and former college roommates James Kinnaird and Jeffrey Zucker after working on the concept for over two years. They saw the desire in the marketplace for fresh food in a quick and affordable format, and decided to bring one of their favorite styles of eating, pizza, into that category. Not wanting to open “just another pizza place,” they decided to do something where customers could feel connected. James and Jeff founded Pizza Persona, allowing their guests to “discover their pizzanalities,” with over 11 billion fresh dough, sauce, cheese and topping combinations possible.
