Three-Day Nuke Workshop with Steve Wright Come join us for three exciting days of Nuke training by master trainer Steve Wright. This unique Friday, Saturday and Sunday workshop will explore and demonstrate the key features of Nuke and equip attending artists with a basic understanding of Nukes powerful workflow. Prerequisites for the class are a solid background in compositing visual effects using programs such as Shake, Combustion, Digital Fusion, or After Effects. You must also bring your own laptop.Dates: April 10 - 12, 2009Day One:A rousing demonstration of Nukes unique features that make it the compositing program of choice for modern CGI compositing pipelines. The remainder of the day will cover how to navigate Nuke's spiffy new interface - image viewer, node graph, property panels, and curve editor.Day Two:The theme of the day is bluescreen and greenscreen compositing. We will cover keying with Primatte and Nukes novel IBK keyer, spill suppression, drawing shapes, masking operations, image reformatting, bounding box control, and transformations.Day Three:The topic of day three is compositing CGI. We will cover multi-pass CGI compositing, channel management, motion tracking, time controls, color correcting, and Nuke's amazing 3D compositing capabilities.Nuke runs on Windows, Linux, and Mac platforms. Students can take advantage of Nukes free Personal Learning Edition that can be downloaded and used before, during and after the class. About Steve WrightSteve Wright is a Senior Compositor, 2D Technical Director and a senior industry veteran in visual effects compositing with over 20 years of production experience. He has over 60 film credits, such as "Blade: Trinity", "Ray", "Solaris", "Traffic", "U-571", "Air Force One", "Hart's War" and many, many more and has also created the visual effects for 70 broadcast television commercials. Steve is now a master trainer traveling around the world conducting VFX compositing training for major visual effects studios using Shake and Nuke. He also produces training programs and conducts classes and workshops both online and location based. He has published two books on this fascinating subject (available on Amazon.com) and his Shake training videos are available on Lynda.com.
