Each summer since 1969, the public has the unique opportunity to observe scientific fieldwork in progress as hundreds of fossils are recovered from the sticky asphalt sediment in Pit 91. The fossils are then taken to the Page Museum next door, where visitors can watch year-round, as they are prepared in the paleontology laboratory.
