Joe Willie "Pinetop" Perkins, now in his 90s, created a style of playing that has influenced three generations of piano players and will continue to be the yardstick by which blues pianists are measured. The master of the boogie woogie began playing piano in l942. Willie "Big Eyes" Smith is best known as the longtime drummer in the Muddy Waters Band. But he's also a great blues harmonica player, as heard on Bo Diddley's 1955 classic 'Diddy Wah Diddy.' The sound is pure old school Chicago blues and Willie shows himself to be a master of this genre.
