As a violinist, violist and conductor, Pinchas Zukerman has remained a phenomenon in the world of music for four decades. Born in Israel and now based in Canada, the “forever young virtuoso” (Los Angeles Times) returns to Philadelphia for his first PCMS appearance in four years – a collaborative concert with his wife, Juno Award-winning cellist Amanda Forsyth, and Canadian pianist Angela Cheng. Program highlights include Beethoven’s fifth violin sonata – the lyrical “Spring” – and Zoltan Kodaly’s folk music-infused duo – a gem in the scant repertoire for violin and cello.
