Pictures of Resistance, Exhibit Opening October 5, 2011

Join us in the Hatcher Library Gallery for opening remarks and refreshments to celebrate the exhibit "Pictures of Resistance: The Wartime Photography of Jewish Partisan Faye Schulman."

Zvi Gitelman will talk about "Soviet Jews in Combat: Resistance or Patriotism?" Gitelman is a political science professor, Preston R. Tisch professor of Judaic Studies, and head fellow at the Frankel Institute for Advanced Judaic Studies at the University of Michigan

Lenore Weitzman will discuss major themes from her book, “Women in the Holocaust.” Weitzman is currently a fellow at the Frankel Institute for Advanced Judaic Studies at the University of Michigan.
