Picasso and Modernism Course/Class November 7, 2011

Timed to coincide with the wonderful exhibition on Picasso at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, this course will illustrate and discuss Picasso's place in the history of modern art. There is little doubt that he was very influential on succeeding generations of painters and sculptors. We will examine where his influences came from and the turbulent life that generated much of his imagery. His relationship with a long string of lovers is legendary and this also played a significant part in why his art looks as it does. Enjoy the course, enjoy the exhibition; prepare yourself.
