As the 50^th anniversary of Piaf's death approaches, this powerful celebration comes from a company whose credentials include Kneehigh Theatre and Canteve Vocale. Edith Piaf has become synonymous with French Cabaret of the 1940s & 50s and remains France's most popular singer. Piaf's life was the stuff of legend, from her dramatic rise from Paris street urchin to star of international renown. Her life, however, was anything but La vie en rose. Towards the end of her life, Piaf turned to drugs to find comfort and solace, never able to believe that she was indeed loved by countless thousands of fans the world over.

In addition to a detailed narrative thread, the show features La vie en rose, Sous le ciel de Paris, Bal dans ma rue, Autumn Leaves, Padam Padam, C'est merveilleux, L'accordéoniste, Non je ne regrette rien and many more.

Eve Loiseau comes from a French family of singers.  Her passion for Piaf developed at a young age, and her lustrous French tone captures the essence of the Piaf performance in this tribute to the 'Little Sparrow'.

Eddy Jay has been playing accordion since the age of 8.  He recently toured the USA with the Tony nominated Broadway success, Brief Encounter. Eddy also toured with Yehudi Menuhin's 'Live Music Now' scheme' introducing thousands of children to the accordion.

Fiona Barrow began violin at aged 7, and has travelled the world far and wide performing in the most unlikely of places including caves and trains. She is also a performer, musical director and composer.
