On PHPNW's 3rd birthday, we have Rowan Merewood talking about Dependency Injection. Dependency injection is the process of moving the responsibility for creating resources out of the classes using them. This practice leads to looser coupling of components, which leads to a more portable system and enables proper mocking of dependencies when testing. At the class level, there are a number of design patterns to follow that provide DI in different ways, each with their own pros and cons. Beyond this more complex containers.
