PHPNW group first meeting July 17, 2008

Update: Dress Code - We do allow trainers but they have to be the smart ones - no sportswear is allowed.

6pm - Onwards: Drinks / nibbles (pizza) for first community get-together

Parking: is available in the attached NCP - your ticket will be validated at the venue so parking is free.

There will be an area around the bar on the 1st floor sectioned off for us.

The one catch with having a big venue & free parking is the registration to go on site at the complex – here are the rules:

By close of play on Tuesday I need to be able to confirm a list of everyone who is attending (mail me directly - jeremy at phpnw.org.uk). Anyone who is 21 or under (or who looks younger) need to bring photo ID. (Under 21s are allowed, just need to be known… I don’t know why, their rules).

People can attend unannounced, but they’d have to join the casino (free, but again photo ID is needed) because the laws are you have to be registered to be on-site 24 hours before, or a member (hence why they’d sign you up there and then).

It’s a little complicated, but they’ve been great at helping us out short notice pull this meeting together and the food is great, so that’ll make up for it!!! Obviously we’re not promoting gambling, but the venue is a great place for us to have the first meeting at a very decent price ;), easily accessible for those who don’t know Manchester, free parking or very accessible via the tram and train links.
