This month we have John Cleary giving a talk on Test-Driven Development. Test-Driven Developer (or TDD) is no longer the new kid on the blog, and by now most developers have probably read a blog or two - maybe even dabbled with it at home or on a training course. But how do we take TDD from the classroom to the workplace? And, indeed, why should we? Won’t it just slow development down? In this talk we’ll take a critical look at TDD. What benefits does it offer and what are the potential drawbacks? We’ll look at how to get your TDD skills up to speed, and examine some of the trickier aspects of TDD such as testing the persistence layer. So come along and find out how to take that next step towards TDD enlightenment.
