Photoshop vs Fireworks: The Showdown August 13, 2009

Which is your favorite, Photoshop or Fireworks? If you create graphics for the Web, chances are that you use either Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Fireworks every day. Most times, the decision is based on familiarity with one of the tools, but each has its own unique strengths. Which one is best for your next project?

We're trying something different at the next CAUG meetup. Instead of a presentation we're going to have an open forum, led by a panel of graphics professionals, to sort out the differences between the two products. What makes Photoshop the king of image editing software? Why is Fireworks better prepared for creating graphics for the Web? What can your favorite tool do that you have never tried before?
