ANN ARBOR DOCUMENTARY PHOTOGRAPHER, VISUAL STORYTELLER JANICE MILHEM RECORDS URBAN LIFE AND WORKING: A NEW EXHIBIT OPENS JUNE 2 AT ESPRESSO, MAIN STREET, ANN ARBOR

People at work in urban locales is the subject of a new photography collection by documentary photographer Janice Milhem of Ann Arbor. The show opens on June 2 and runs through June 30 at Espresso Royale on Main Street in Ann Arbor.

Urban Landscapes is an essay on urban life captured over three years in various local and international locations including Ann Arbor, Detroit, New York and Istanbul. Given the precarious state of world economies, it is refreshing and hopeful to see people who continue to have the entrepreneurial spirit and confidence to work despite difficult and unique challenges.

I am constantly interested in exploring the ethereal nature and connections of life, culture and work within urban neighborhoods - “I am fascinated by neighborhood “voice” expressed through its people and their specific neighborhoods, culture, physical surroundings and professions. Janice Milhem is a documentary photographer and marketing professional living in Ann Arbor Michigan.

Her visual branding and marketing company is Milhem Images, Inc.
