PHOTO MARATHON
Seattle-Nantes, 2 Sister Cities, 2 portraits
26TH-27TH of April 2008

You want to give a new and original perspective on your city?

Express your creativity by photographing Seattle under all angles…

The Seattle-Nantes-Sister-City Organization is organizing a photography contest to put in parallel the two cities, to share different visions of two close and unique cities.

Come and join us for the most creative marathon ever!
24 hours of photography, 24 hours to take 24 pictures illustrating the 24 themes you will be given.

How it works:

You need to bring your own digital camera
Cost = 20 dollars (developing + shipping over to France)
24 HOURS of fun:
Beginning of the contest, Saturday the 26th of April Noon
End of the contest, Sunday the 27th of April Noon
The contestants meet at a given point at Noon on the Saturday the 26th of April. They are given the first 4 themes for the first 4 hours and the next meeting point.

Every 4 hours, new meeting point and new 4 themes till the end of the 24 hours.
Only ONE photo will be given for each hour.
Each photo must be taken in the right order.

Possibility of creating a team if you don’t want to stay up the 24 hours! For example, one contestant takes the first four pictures then gives the camera to another member of his team till the end, so 6 members for every 4 hours.
If you are on your own, you can create a team with people who are participating and meet them on the D-day.
End of the contest at noon, every contestant can go home and they need to send me their 24 pictures by e-mail before Sunday night.

All the pictures will be exposed a few days later (no set date yet) so that everyone gets a chance to see everyone’s pictures!
Each contestant will get their photos printed on paper for free.
A jury elects the best picture for each hour.
The best picture for each hour will be enlarged and offered to the contestant who took it.
