Philosophers for the Twenty-First Century Course/Class October 4, 2011

This course will consider the current state of Philosophy, through a range of theorists who have sustained their relevance for the twenty-first century. The course will be organized by areas of theory: The contemporary State of Epistemology; Jewish Philosophy as a guide to life; Complexity Theory; Philosophy in Australia; Feminist Theory: Did we throw the baby out with the bathwater? Here are some of the philosophers in the course: Simon Blackburn, Judith Butler, Alexander Nehamas, John Searles, Martin Buber, Ernest Sosa, Elizabeth Anscombe.
