VIVALDI: Trio Sonatas, Cello Sonata in A minor, La Follia

Virtuoso members of Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra offer audiences a more intimate experience of period instrument performance in its new Chamber Music Series. The first performance in this series, Viva Vivaldi!, presents a selection of Vivaldi's vibrant but lesser known chamber compositions including trio sonatas for mixed instruments and the fiery set of variations on La Follia, an Iberian tune widely familiar from the theme-and-variations set by composers from Corelli through Rachmaninoff.
