Philadelphia Orchestra: Neighborhood Concert July 5, 2006

On July 5 at 7 p.m., the Orchestra will perform at the Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing, returning after a successful concert there in July 2004. (A performance scheduled at Penn’s Landing’s Festival Pier in July 2005 was cancelled due to a storm.) The concert, also led by Mr. Milanov, features Mozart’s Overture to The Marriage of Figaro, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 8, Rossini’s Overture to The Italian Girl in Algiers, and Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 4 (“Italian”).
