Phil Ross animal technology lecture April 9, 2005

Philip Ross will present a talk on his artwork, tracing the relationship between animal behavior, technology and the developmental processes that form the worlds we live within. Mr. Ross? views of technologically manufactured environments are tempered by a desire for understanding the relationship between tools, systems and creativity, both human and otherwise. Philip uses living organisms as the inspiration and means by which he makes his work. Through the design and creation of highly controlled environments, Mr. Ross manipulates, nurtures and transforms a variety of living species into sculptural artifacts.
