Also based on Gaston Leroux's 'Phantom of the Opera,' this version has music by Maury Yeston and book by Arthur Kopit. A backstage melodrama about the man who haunts the opera house and his great love for the beautiful soprano, Christine. Though he tries to seduce her with is musical prowess, she loves Raoul. And, at last when she unmasks the Phantom, he realizes sadly that he will never posess his love. He ends up with her wedding veil, Raoul ends up with her.
