Pflugerville Pfirecracker Pfestival July 2, 2011

In addition to the fireworks show over Lake Pflugerville that will begin at 9:00 p.m., families will have plenty to entertain them throughout the day, including children’s activities, face painters, canoes, swimming and live music from the John Gaar Band (www.johngaar.com). Local non-profit organizations and other vendors will sponsor booths to sell water, soft drinks and festival food items. This year, vendors and activities will be available on both the north and south ends of the Lake due to the availability of the new Lake Pflugerville Park on the north end.

Free parking and shuttle buses will be available from the Hendrickson High School (2905 FM 685) and Pflugerville High School (1301 W. Pecan Street) parking lots. The last buses will leave from the high schools to the Lake at 8:00 p.m. and shuttles will resume service after the fireworks until 11:00 p.m. to return riders to their vehicles. Handicap shuttles will be available from Pflugerville High School – please call in advance to make a reservation for this service (990-6101). Limited parking will be available at the event site for $5. No pets, glass containers or outside fireworks will be allowed at the event site.
