Yale School of Music Horowitz Piano Series

Music for two pianos and piano four-hands by Schumann and Debussy, performed by renowned faculty pianists Peter Frankl and Wei-Yi Yang. Program includes Schumann: Pictures from the East for piano four hands; Andante and Variations, Op. 46 for 2 pianos, 2 cellos, and French horn; and Six Etudes in Canonic Form, Op. 56 for two pianos (transcribed by Debussy). Works by Debussy himself include the Petite Suite for piano four hands and two works transcribed for two pianos by Ravel: Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune and the Three Nocturnes.
