Pet-Palooza and Doggie Paddle August 30, 2009

Join us at the Dankwardt Pool in Burlington, IA on Sunday, August 30th, 2009 for Pet-Palooza and Doggie Paddle. The Burlington Regional Dog Park Committee and the Des Moines County Humane Society will be putting on the event to raise money for the dog park and the Humane Society. The day will include a leash cutting ceremony at 12:00 to be followed by a pet-parade and fashion show, talent contest, ugliest dog contest, biggest/littlest dog contest, Police K-9 Demonstrations, and Long jump contest into the pool. We will also have local vendors and concessions! There will also be pet photography and pet first-aid demonstrations as well as dog obedience training! AND, of course the dogs will be able to swim in the pool! You can also register your pet for a dog park tag ($10) and a city tag ($5), please bring proof of rabies vaccinations!
