Pet-O-Palooza January 24, 2009

Animal lovers of all kinds can attend Pet-O-Palooza East, a Pet Festival and Music Celebration.

Hosted by Arizona Dog magazine. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, January 24th at Hohokam Stadium , 1235 N. Center St in Mesa.

Booths offering a variety of pet-oriented products and services, food, face painting, and entertainment will be featured as part of the celebration. Families also will be able to see cats and dogs that are up for adoption and even take one home. Entertainment will include, PHADD High Flying Dog Show, a Lure Racing Course that your dog can experience, Food vendors with dog dishes and the bands Power, featuring Jack Duchene winner of the Las Vegas Guitar Wars, and Breakdown, a Tom Petty-tribute band that performed at the NFL Experience during Super Bowl XLII.

A portion of ticket sales will benefit the Arizona Animal Welfare League, Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and The Mesa Parks and Recreation Foundation. Tickets cost $7 per adult and $5 for those 10 and under. The event is dog-friendly, but animals must be leashed and have a gentle disposition.
