I have been looking for some kind of help, I think I really need it since losing my 2 beloved rhodesian ridgebacks. They are such wonderful dogs but like a lot of the bigger breeds they don't live very long. 10-12yrs tops, mine lived to their 12th year. One died of cancer and then a few months later the other dog just keeled over from what appeared to be a heart attack and died before we could even get to a vet. They are both buried on my land and the headstone reads "Beloved Best Friends" but I am so devastated. Perhaps because all my relatives are dead and I am the only one left and I will not be able to have any kids, but these dogs were my kids. I feel so terribly alone now, I don't know why God doesn't just take me too, why am I left here alone? Why am I this upset over a couple of dogs dying, I wonder if this is even normal?
