Emergency preparedness is a simple, empowering concept, yet most people remain unprepared for times of crisis. The more we can become response-able, the better we can serve our families, friends, and communities in these uncertain times.
This workshop provides an overview of basic tools you’ll need in the event of an emergency, including a checklist and helpful links to reliable suppliers and sources of information. You’ll learn how to protect your financial assets, as well as specifics on cutting-edge, high-quality, nutrient-dense foods to include in your stored-food cache. Topics include:

• our minds and positive framing
• home and family security
• food strategies to maximize nutrition, storability, and energetics
• water strategies for cleanliness and potability
• financial strategies
• first aid and wellness
• strategies for working with friends, neighbors and local communities to enhance safety

The workshop includes an 8-page handout of key course notes and links.
To demonstrate what can be made from stored food, raw chef Shenaqua Sookhoo-Jones, will prepare an array of delectable raw food to be sampled during the session break.
