This concert brings together several pieces Konrad Kaczmarek has written for acoustic instruments and live electronics that explore the idea of computer-generated extended technique and improvisation. Using a software program he authored called Metamorphic_Gestures, each piece will highlight a different form of interaction between the performer, the instrument, and the electronic processing.

Artlog.com is soliciting artists enrolled/graduated from MFA programs or established artists to submit photography, painting or video artworks – single works or in a series. Works will be projected during the concert and featured on Artlog.com. http://artlog.com/participate

This concert aims to forge meaningful relationships between the acoustic and electronic soundscapes, and the visual artworks that have been selected. Moreover, the convergence of these elements throughout the performance must be simultaneously meaningful to the musician and accessible to the audience.
