Celebrated pianist Emanuel Ax joins Orpheus for this tribute to the 250th anniversary of Mozart's birth. The festive overture to Cosi fan tutte opens the program, followed by two of Mozart's finest piano concertos: Concerto No. 17 in G Major, K. 453 and Concerto No. 25 in C Major, K. 503. Orpheus completes the program with one of its signature orchestral scores, Symphony No. 35 in D Major, K. 385, "Haffner." Emanuel Ax is renowned for his poetic temperament and unsurpassed virtuosity, and the exceptional breadth of his performance repertoire.
