We invite you to view the artist's mixed media installations and wall panels at the show's opening reception on, Thursday , September 8th from 5:00 -7:30 pm. The artist will be in attendance.

David Jang has been the recipient of much acclaim following his numerous solo and group exhibitions, and Sandra Lee Gallery will showcase select pieces in celebration of his recent work. Jang has pioneered a unique medium by weaving deconstructed elements into a cohesive whole. The artist revives every-day materials by using his artistic creativity to form breathtaking art objects. Jang searches for "truth" and challenges contemporary society to view the concealed meaning in abandoned objects. Jang describes the visual experience of one instillation as "a structure with an expressive spatial growth pattern". Acting as an alchemist, Jang returns artificial objects to nature. He imposes the natural world on society's disposable relics, defying the often arbitrary existence of the man-made. In his interplay between deconstruction and appropriation, Jang tells us that the unnatural world, by proof of its creation, remains intrinsically connected to nature.

David Jang's powerful collection of works, brimming with vitality, breathes life into the discarded symbols of society. We welcome you to view these momentous pieces and contemplate the artist's recent work.
