WOOD began in 1999 in San Francisco as The Woodyz. This 10-piece band with a drag queen horn section played National Gay Pride Festivals, high profile San Francisco events and private parties. The Woodyz played wild and dirty rockabilly at clubs like Bottom of the Hill, Café Du Nord and The Voo-Doo Lounge.

Today, WOOD continues the spirit and draw of The Woodyz with the addition of some hot new members. WOOD rocks out with two screamin lead guitar players: Stain'd WOOD and Holden WOOD, charismatic Major WOOD raging on vocals and writhing on the stage, Tiny WOOD thumping his organ, and heavy pounding
