Gosford St
Middlesbrough, England TS2 1BB

*** EXTENDED UNTIL 7th MARCH ****

Members of an photography forum on the popular photo-sharing website Flickr are meeting up in real life to stage their first gallery exhibition.

The Python Gallery in Middlesbrough will be hosting the work of twenty one of the members of the Flickr photography collective “The People’s Republic of Teesside” from the Wednesday 30th January 2008 until Friday 8th February 2008, weekdays 9:30-5pm. Entrance is free.

Teesside photographer Amanda McHale, along with the gallery's curator Peter Heselton, came up with the idea to showcase the work of the group which, for some, will be a first opportunity to exhibit work in public. Described by Peter as a diverse and eclectic show, Amanda adds "it will be an exciting and vibrant exhibition of the wide range of photography practiced by the group. As an admin for the group, it's been a great pleasure to be able to stage this show and bring to a 'real world' audience a taste of the skill and creativity that our members consistently display online."

You're cordially invited to attend the preview evening on Tuesday January 29 at 7pm. Bar and live music.
