NOTE ON HOUSING:

Sign up online for Emerald Grande housing even if you plan on paying by check.
You do not have to
stay at the Emerald Grande in order to participate. Everything but the
Saturday night events will be at or near the hotel. If you do want to
stay there it would be best to sign up as soon as you can as we can't
guarantee availability and prices will go up. Please be patient with us as we approach the housing deadlines. One person is dealing with housing and will try to accommodate everyone the best way possible. We are excited about the response so far and some of the bedtypes have already been snatched up. As you can imagine we are obligated for the entire cost of the condo and can't leave too many open slots as the money will then have to come out of the conference budget. SO PLEASE FORGIVE US FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE AS WE FIGURE THIS OUT.

We are only
selling 5 spots per Emerald Grande condo (Everyone has their own bed.
No one has to share unless they want as long as there is no more than 8
in the condo. Someone can bring an air mattress, share a larger bed,
sleep in a sleeping bag etc. The King and the Queen are in their own
private rooms. The Twin beds are in a room together. The Sleeper Sofa
is in the Living Room.
We anticipated this housing arrangement to help give you opportunities to meet new friends as well as to give you an opportunity for top notch luxury beach accommodations at a much more affordable price. We understand if this is a little out of the norm and would be glad to work with you if you would rather book an entire condo for your group of (same-sex) friends.
TO BOOK AN ENTIRE CONDO: Call Vita or LaMiya at the Emerald Grande (866-990-2899) Ask for the "Gulf Coast LDS Singles" group discount. Please don't call them if you are only wanting a bed. As of 2/4/09 they have:--1 Bedrooms (floor plan E-7) that sleep 6 (King Size bed/Bunks in hall/Sleeper sofa) for approx. $216 a night (tax and fees included). (Only 3 available --3 Bedroom (floor plan W-5) (King Size bed/Queen Bedroom/Bunk room/Sleeper sofa) that sleeps 8 for $316.00 (tax and fees included)--3 Bedroom/3 Bath with King size room/2 Queen size rooms and sleeper sofa for slightly more. If you book an entire condo $250 deposits due by Feb. 15th and the remaining due 1 month before the conference. If for some reason you need to cancel the whole condo. The hotel
charges $100 service fee before Mar.23rd. But $250 service fee after.
They will work with us if its due to illness etc.

Dear Single Adults,
We are excited about the Gulf Coast Single Adult Conference this year in Destin, Florida, on April 24-26th at the luxurious Emerald Grande (www.emeraldgrande.com) on the Destin Harbor.
Many of you attended the conference in Mobile this past February; we are excited to have you and others join us this year at the beach. Friday evening we have a fabulous dance planned on the Captains Deck overlooking the magnificent Destin Harbor and Gulf of Mexico. We have some of the most beautiful beaches in the whole United States with white sand that feels good between your toes.
Come enjoy the amazing emerald waters of the Gulf. Even more, come and partake of the Living Water the Savior has to offer us. We want this conference to be different from other conferences you may have attended. For three days, we long for a community that approaches Zion. The Emerald Grande is only a year old and it is amazing. We have tried to make the accommodations as affordable as possible but it may be a hardship for some, especially with a struggling economy. Hotel costs are higher in tourism areas. But lets do what we can to be a a Zion people and help each other have this opportunity: carpool, help each other earn some extra cash, share your private room with a friend (as long as there are no more than 8 in the condo; we are only selling 5 of the possible 8 spots).Make sure you eat well on Friday night; we will have some light refreshments. There are lots of restaurants by the hotel and the rooms all come with full kitchens so you may want to bring snacks. Hope to see you there!
