One Eye Grey is the first Penny Dreadful for over a century to hit the streets of London. To celebrate the launch of the second volume (A goose in Southwark) F&M Publications are offering the opportunity to be squired around those city streets. There are two free walks on offer at the end of June but places must be booked.
Penny Dreadful Walk 1: Introduces the Queen Rat of Queenshythe, thousand year old ornate castration devices, pagan estate agents and the strange case of the mummified cat. These feature alongside London folklore, ghost stories and other ephemera that has found its way into One Eye Grey the first penny dreadful to hit the streets of London for over a century.
Friday June 29 from outside Riverside Books. Hays Galleria off Tooley Street. London Bridge Tube. (Google maps link)
Walk is free but numbers are limited: e-mail [email protected] to book.
