Pennsylvania German Textile Traditions Exile Society Annual Fall Meeting and Program October 28, 2007

From the looms of professional weavers to young girls taking their first tentative stitches on samplers, the traditions of making and using textiles provide a window into the everyday life of rural Pennsylvania Germans in the 18th and early 19th century. Join Candace Perry, Curator of Collections of the Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center, for an engaging talk about this subject, Sunday, October 28th at 2pm. Free and open to the public.
