CAGE (Conservatory Avant-Garde Ensemble), the new music ensemble recently founded at the Peabody Institute presents an all-Ligeti program on Wednesday, October 4th, at 7:30 p.m. in Griswold Hall at Peabody. Directed by Ann Teresa Kang, this concert will feature special guests Lukas Ligeti (electronic percussion) and Jenny Lin (piano). Also featured are faculty members of the Peabody community including Michael Kannen, Donald Sutherland and Courtney Orlando. The program includes Volumina, Artikulation, the first string quartet, the last three piano etudes, and original compositions by Lukas Ligeti. Free admission. 1 E. Mount Vernon Pl. The details of the program are actually those of the Camerata concert on the 7th. The CAGE concert is a Ligeti Memorial Concert. Here is the blurb:
