The Shanghai Foreign Correspondents' Club Presents:

Paul Andreu: Monuments for A New China
Maneo
Monday, March 10th, 12pm (for lunch - talk will start around 12.45pm)

Few foreign architects have left their mark so prominently on contemporary China as Paul Andreu. His Pudong airport project was widely admired when it opened in 1999, and was followed by the approval of his spectacular - and in some circles controversial - design for the National Grand Theatre in Beijing, which recently opened its doors. He also designed the Oriental Arts Centre in Pudong. In this special talk, Paul Andreu will share his experiences of working in China, and his views on the state of the nation's architecture.

Venue details: Maneo, 333 Tongren Lu, near Beijing Xi Lu (6247 9666)
Admission: Members free; Non-members 50 RMB
A lunch set will be served for 80 RMB.
RSVP: [email protected] by Friday March 7
